He knows…

It is amazing how we sometimes resist and fight God when all He is doing is to deliver us from instances or people who are of no good to our tomorrow. We strive incessantly and try to hold on unto what we ought to let go.

But God,He sees ahead. He sees what we cannot see.He knows what we do not know. So,why not trust him when he takes away certain people from our lives? Why not trust Him when He keeps us from getting to that place we believe is best for us? He knows what’s best!Trust Him with all your heart.Lean not on your own understanding. Shalom!

Opportunities present themselves to us in many ways. These can be business, work, financial ,educational ,relationship opportunities, etc.

Everyday we live, an opportunity is likely to knock on our doors. When life presents us with an opportunity,we become responsible for the outcome of that opportunity. How it pans out and the reward we derive from it is down to how we make use of and work with the opportunity at hand. Are you using your opportunities responsibly and making good out of them ?

A writer’s vulnerability…

I was in the kitchen today ,frying plantain. If you know me,you should know that plantain is Bae!!☺️I just don’t seem to understand people who have tasted but do not love plantain! You really are missing out o: !

Anyway, that’s not really where my train of thoughts were at whilst frying(My mind is always thinking;sometimes, creatively!)

As I stood there in the kitchen ,I began to think about writers and how some of us creative writes make ourselves vulnerable through our writing. We write about our experiences. We write about our deepest fears. We write about our secrets. We write about our lost love . We write about our failures and so on.We bare our soul not only to those close, but to people we may probably never meet.

Our vulnerability, through the words we scribble does not portray weakness. It does not portray lack of confidence. Our vulnerability simply means that we are courageous enough to speak our heart, in the hope that someone ,somewhere will learn from our writing ,will learn from our experiences and will gain wisdom that may be of help to them in the future .

Next time you meet a writer who bares it all through the pages of a paper ,a book or a blog ,don’t think of their vulnerability as weakness. Think of it as power;power to make a difference to a soul. Power to make a difference to a life!

Grieve…but don’t stay there…

Losing a mother ,a father, a child ,a husband, wife, grandfather, grandmother or a very close individual can be one of the most difficult seasons of life. It’s a time where you’re not sure how to view life and the future …It’s a time where you see some people’s true nature…It’s a time of mixed realities. It’s a time of mixed emotions…But through it all, you can make a conscious effort to either STAY DOWN or GET UP & run again, even with pain in your heart.

Take all the time to grieve, but don’t stay there forever.Don’t underestimate your need to grieve, but don’t stay there. Don’t deny yourself the opportunity to grieve, but don’t stay there …I am sure your loved one would want you to make the best of life… And how else can you make the best of life if you stay stuck on the bed of grief?

I pray for each one of us who has lost a precious one. Be strong and courageous…It’s easier said than done but,it’s not impossible.

Look to What Is Ahead

Many times, we stay stuck on what was ,who we were, what we had and forget that there is a tomorrow we ought to live for. Life will throw so many stones at you, but you and I have to make up our mind to get up and walk again, not looking behind, unless necessary . Just as we are admonished in Phillipians 3:13, let us forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead.

One Visit,One Call,One text,One Email…

The world is a busy place,I know…Everyone,I believe, faces one challenge or another ;that I know too…Even in the midst of your own worries and pain, learn to make room to love on others. It can be very rewarding. One visit, one call, one text, one email, can make a difference. Don’t be so engrossed in your own challenges that you forget to care for others,to just ask how they are truly doing and feeling! Your act of kindness might just save a life!
