”If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Bartimeus, a blind man from birth, the son of Timaeus, sat by the roadside begging. He was hoping people would show him love. As he was about his usual way, suddenly, he heard a commotion. When he learnt that it was Jesus of Nazareth passing by, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” The people around warned him to be quiet; but he cried out even more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Notice, though the people tried to stop him from doing what he believed was best for him, he summoned more courage. He didn’t allow their words affect him in any way.
Because he was persistent, he commanded Jesus’ attention.’’ So, Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. What a faith! Persistence surely pays.Bartimeus received the desire of his heart because he dared to push through, refused to give up but called out again and again until he had access to Jesus. When he finally got the opportunity,he asked for help but also believed there would be a solution to his problem. And for that,he was made well.
Are you like blind Bartimeus seeking to get a hold of the Master so you could share your issues and receive healing? The ball has and will always be in your court. God loves to hear from you. He actually is always waiting for you to reach out to him. He has told us in His word we do not receive because we do not ask. If only we learn to ask consistently and persist in our asking,we will receive the things we long for, according to His will.
Your delay is not denial. When God is silent, believe me,He is working things for your good.Sometimes you have to go through a process of suffering, brokenness, lack, and loneliness before you can fully operate in your purpose and receive the blessing.God’s plan is perfect:it is of good and not of evil.A plan to prosper and not to harm you. You will call upon him and He will hearken unto your voice.
I have had some answers, some testimony after years and year of prayers, supplication, and thanksgiving. I have had people share about God’s goodness when everyone around them thought all hope was lost. I have seen God at work. I can open up a whole lot about things I have lived, seen, cried about and how God SUDDENLY turned things around. There are still things I believe God for. There are issues I face which are enough to make me doubt God.But you kow what, through the process, I have decided I will keep holding on. I believe God is strong enough to bring me out every storm. I won’t let go because God comes through even at the last minute. He ALWAYS makes a way. That’s the kind of mindset you should have.
When you feel like giving up because you have not had an answer yet, think about the persistent widow who kept coming to the unjust judge with her plea so she could be granted justice against her adversary.’’ For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’” Luke 18:1-8
Your hurdles and obstacles are small in comparison to what others are facing or will face. If God can deliver them, He can you too.I know sometimes you don’t want to hear someone tell you the things you already know. You don’t want to hear about God. All you want is to get the answer to that problem and nothing more. But, God will always put someone your way to remind you those dreams that seem impossible now can become reality if you make up your mind to be determined and persistent against all odds .
Never, ever give up.You can’t get tired.Get up.Like a soldier, put your war clothes on and fight hard.Come to grips with yourself and say like Jacob,‘I won’t let you go until you bless me!’When it’s your time, t’s your time.Keep calling.Great suffering precedes great blessings…God won’t pass you by!
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly…?”Luke 18:1-8
